Salalah, Dhofar — Oman

Software that runs in two directions.

Full-stack engineer building government and enterprise systems — PostgreSQL and TypeScript underneath, strict Arabic RTL interfaces on top, and the integrations that keep them talking to each other.

Currently: Procedure Management System for the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion.

Selected work

Three systems, three problems.

MOCIIP Procedure Management System

On-premise · Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion · Oman

A single-file HTML prototype that stored everything in localStorage, rebuilt as a real on-premise system: a normalised PostgreSQL schema, role-based access control mapped to the ministry's org structure, JWT auth, Excel import and export, attachment rules, and dashboard aggregations. The interface is strict RTL Arabic and carries the ministry's brand identity down to the design tokens.

Al-Hashemi & Al-Rawas

Bilingual corporate site · alhashemigroups.com · Contracting & trading

A public site for a Dhofar contracting and trading firm with 25 years of projects behind it. Arabic and English are equal citizens: the whole layout mirrors on toggle, the copy is written natively in both languages, and the project portfolio is editable by non-technical staff instead of hard-coded.

Odoo: Maintenance → Field Service

ERP integration · Automated actions · Dev instance

Maintenance requests needed to become field service tasks without anyone re-typing them. The automated action kept failing on required fields, so I added a custom Many2one link from the request to its task and fixed the field mappings — one record, one source of truth, no duplicate data entry.

About

Salalah-based, production-minded.

Most of my work starts with something that already exists and half-works: a prototype nobody can deploy, a spreadsheet doing the job of a database, two systems that refuse to share a record. I like the part where it turns into something a department can rely on.

Working in Arabic is not a translation layer added at the end. Direction, typography, number formatting and layout mirroring get decided at the same time as the schema — which is why the Arabic version of a screen usually looks better than the English one.

Outside client work I study statistics and machine learning — estimation, regression, classification — mostly because the reporting side of every system I build eventually asks a question that needs a real answer.
